CLEANING AND HYGIENE SUPPLIERS ASSOCIATION

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

CODE OF PRACTICE:
As the Trade Association for suppliers of cleaning and hygiene materials and equipment, CHSA invites applications for membership from both manufacturers and distributors operating in the 'Away from Home' market. Acceptance into the Association indicates that the applicant has met the highest standards of professional conduct - members are obliged to abide by its Code of Practice.  Users of the products and services offered by CHSA members can therefore have total confidence that they are dealing with reputable, highly professional, quality companies whose main aim is to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.

NETWORKING:
The association holds regular regional meetings, which are open to all members.  The topics of the meetings vary from business-related presentations to entertaining, after-dinner speakers.  But the aim is common - to get as many members together as possible in order to facilitate networking.  The manufacturer : distributor : end-user relationship is key, and these meetings enable new relationships to be forged and existing ones t be cemented.

BUSINESS SERVICES:
All members have access to free telephone advice line services.  At the cost of a phone call, members can speak directly with experts in the fields of company law, employer relations, health & safety, Inland Revenue, Customs & Excise etc.  In addition, the association can put members in contact with agencies dealing with credit management, dispute resolution and risk management.  With these even the smallest CHSA member can have the resources only previously enjoyed by the larger multinationals.

DISTRIBUTOR SERVICE EXCELLENCE SURVEY:
This biennial survey is available to all CHSA distributor members at no extra cost.  An independent agency surveys a representative sample of each participating distributor's customers and produces a confidential, personalised report covering all aspects of customer service provided by that distributor as perceived by their customers.  An aggregated summary of all participants is also produced allowing the distributor to both identify the relative weaknesses in his performance and also benchmark his performance against an industry norm.  On the open market such a survey would cost in excess of £1000.  Participation in this programme alone recoups the annual subscription fee.
